We visited my family's farm down in Kentucky last month. It was a super trip and I have decided two things. One is that I definitely want to live on a farm. And the second is that I really want a pair of cowboy boots.
Adrien was not much for trick or treat. After 4 houses she wanted to go home and pass out candy to "her kids" And in other news, we have a new little guy. He was a bee too :) Happy November!
For the first time in five years, Rosie enjoyed swimming at my mother's pool. She's not a water dog usually.
And really because I don't have much going on, here is a video of her drying off! I know! Full of excitement over here!
And I picked corn yesterday! Off of our two little rows. You can really have corn grow in small spaces and it will cross pollinate. (And sometimes I uses pull up boxes for gardening.)
This is the current state of Adrien. I so cherish naps since they are few and far between!
I grew some basil. Any good pesto recipes? Please share.
I asked Adrien if I could take her picture tonight and she cried.
Then she pouted. (Do you like my glasses on my head? I am turning into my mother)
I broke the ipod. It still works. But man, that stinks! I didn't realize how much they cost. (and also, I sometimes thinks money grows on trees) (but it does not) (it grows in banks) (i've had a little wine tonight, can you tell?)
Adrien is officially adopted! Last Tuesday we all got dressed up and went to the court house. And then we had a party. You wanted more details? Adopting though the foster care system is hard and emotional. And it takes years. And as crazy as it sounds I will totally do it again. I think it will be easier the second time.
This photo was taken on her third birthday which was a couple of weeks ago. She is wearing a dress that I made her. Awwww. Isn't that special?
